Our Design Process
To meet the needs of my clients and to ensure I provide them with my best work, I work with one client at a time. I reserve a 3-week block of time to work on each branding and website bundle instead of juggling multiple projects with varying time frames. Upon reserving a spot in my design queue, I provide the client with a comprehensive questionnaire and a detailed project contract outline to prepare them for the process before the 3-week project begins.
The mood board, also known as an inspiration board, is the starting point helps to ensure we are on the same wavelength visually. I will use the images you have collected in your mini branding assignment (typically via a secret board on Pinterest), to pull in colors and textures that represent the tone and theme of your brand. Once the mood board is finalized, I create (2) distinctly different concepts for your logo. After discussing the 2 options, we will narrow it down to one logo and make revisions as necessary. (2 revisions)
From there we proceed to the style guide. The style guide will add secondary icon logos, type combinations and imagery to complete the brand. I will compile all of those elements into a brand style guide for all future design projects to keep your message consistent. (1 revision)
Marketing Package Design
Now your vision begins to take shape. I design (4) collateral items of your choosing (see samples in package contents) and provide you with the final files ready for printing, emailing or posting on your website. (2 revisions)
Once we complete the branding package, I get to work on the website design. I typically design the website using Adobe Muse, which allows for some basic maintenance on your end. However, I can also build the site in WordPress, Squarespace or Dreamweaver. I start by providing you with a basic wire frame mock up of the website allowing you to see the layout before the coding begins. Upon approval of the mock up, you will receive a high definition mock up complete with images, placeholder text and navigation to give you a true sense of how the site will look. (2 revisions)
Your files are provided to you and I showcase your business on the TDG website homepage and announcement via social media and the TDG Monthly Newsletter.
